If not now, when?

So, I’m moving in at Substack—awkward pause—because I write. I’m told by friends and mentors I need to get on the internet and share my work, but I’ve been shy to just come out and tell you all that I spend hours writing, deleting, editing, and playing with words every week. It took me three hours to write this paragraph ;)

My fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and personal essays will probably always be about small towns, parenting, being a woman, or simply existing. Yes! So many forms and genres. You know that saying about a jack of all trades and master of none, well, that’s how it’s been for a long time with my writing, and dammit, I want to get better at it.

Each week, I’ll be sharing a topic that has inspired me, or, gulp, my own work. Since I’m learning as I go, I’ll include you in that journey. I’ll also post original art work and photographs.
